Plastic Surgery

plastic surgery is a speciality of medical science which concerned with the with the correction or restoration of form and function. Plastic surgery is very effective and includes many types of reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, micro surgery as well as treatment for burns. In plastic surgery, the transfer of damaged or unwanted skin tissue is done . This is also called skin grafting. There are alternative ways of taking skin grafts, which can be taken from the recipient itself as well as from donors. There are different sources of skin grafts like Autografts which are taken from the recipient, Allograft is taken from the donor but of the same species and xenografts are taken from the different species. There are numerous skin problems which are caused by burns, traumatic injuries like facial bone fracture, congenital abnormalities such as cleft lips, unwanted developmental abnormalities and tumours which can be cured by reconstructive plastic surgeries. Such features of plastic surgeries are very helpful these days.

Plastic surgery also includes many specialities. Some of the common reconstructive plastic surgeries include tumour removal, laceration repair, scar repair, hand surgery, and breast reduction which is very helpful for curing unwanted problems of body. Cleft lip is a very acute problem which makes them ugly which can be cured by plastic surgery. In plastic surgery, free laps of skin, muscle, bone, fat or a combination is either removed from the body or moved to another site on the body. With the increased attention on beauty and perfection these days, many celebrities and many persons are going for plastic surgery though it is a costly affair. Many birth defects are treated in child hood with the help of pediatric plastic surgeons who are specialized in treating these conditions. Plastic surgery minimises appearance of chicken pox, wrinkles on face and helpful in removing unwanted scars on body.
